Featured Area: Downtown Concord

Okay, so I am so in awe of the little nuggets that are right in our back yard that I decided to dedicate this post ( and possibly other posts as these gems are uncovered) to the small businesses that surround not only my home, but my studio as well. So often I hear people complaining about the fact that there is nothing to do, or nothing worth talking about in Concord NC. Well I beg to differ. This has been my home for the past 18 years and there are some awesome businesses that exist in our area.

For this post, I want to feature Villani's Bakery.

Villani's Bakery is a quaint establishment located at 11 Union St. Suite 103 Concord, NC 28025. It is an awesome little bakery that is owned by Amanda and Paul Villani. I stop in frequently and all I can say is that their recipes are not your average pastries. My personal favorite (this week :-) is the Oatmeal Pecan & Raisin cookies: Let me tell you, these cookies are BIG on taste!! There is an entire menu of tasty baked goodness that they carry, but don't take my word for it, stop by, They will be glad to see you. Stop in and stay awhile and savor the taste of what 100% homemade goodness tastes like!! As for me, my next delicacy to try will be the croissants: I have it on good authority that it is 1400 layers of flaky pastry. I can't wait!! See you there!
