Empowering our Kids

Recently, I have been in awe of my children. I am beginning to see the individuals that they are becoming and I must say that I am proud, proud, proud! No longer do I just hear the echoes of sentiments that I have given them, but I am beginning to see the free-thinking, rationalizing, individuals that they are. They have their own thoughts and views and most interesting is that they can express them most eloquently. This fills me with so much joy! I have always encouraged them to speak up and share their opinions in ways that show that they are engaged, and this, along with all the other positive influences in their lives, have paid off well! I have intelligent conversations with them and they make me think! We still have our fun too, but they are now planning for long term goals, and this was completely on them. I have always thought about what I would want to have them focus on and when to interject the serious conversations, but they help me so much along the way. Most times, it starts with a question.... and me being the Agilist that I strive everyday to be, instead of providing them the answers, I actually get them to tell me their thoughts and their views or opinions form from there, the more the conversation progresses. I just had to share because the people they are becoming are the contributing members of society that I want to surround myself with..... I WANT to be around them because they inspire me in ways they do not know. Shout out to My 3 Heartbeats <3 !
